UTRECHT NETWORK
What is the Utrecht Network?
The group consists of twenty-eight members (representing thirty-one universities) co-operating in the area of internationalisation in the broadest sense of the word. The members of the group are all prominent and broadly based educational institutions which assume a cultural responsibility alongside their academic and educational tasks.
The members come from all the EU and EFTA countries, and from a number of countries in Central Europe; always one from the smaller countries and two from a few larger Member States. This makes the Utrecht Network the institutional network which covers a very broad base, while ensuring a manageable scale.
The activities carried out by the Utrecht Network cover the entire, broad range of the internationalisation of higher education. For example, the group is active in the areas of student mobility, staff exchange, internationalisation of curricula, joint curricula, double degrees, joint PhDs and summer schools. Right from the start, the approach was aimed at co-operation at an institutional level, which makes the Utrecht Network a group that may truly be regarded as both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary.
In addition, as a consortium, the group works with a number of external partners, for example in the United States and Australia. Utrecht Network Website Contact person on behalf of the Jagiellonian University: Mirosław KLIMKIEWICZ |
