COST OF LIVING

The cost of living in Krakow will depend on your life-style, needs and habits. The following approximate prices will give you an idea of the costs to expect. Please note that the tuition fee paid to the Jagiellonian University does not cover accomodation or board.

University accomodation
Place in a shared room (2-3 persons) in halls of residence: 240 PLN per person per month

Private accomodation
Attention! Costs for renting a room or a flat depend on its location and facilities provided. Please be aware that landlords usually ask for a deposit and that you have to pay for additional bills (gas, electricity, water etc.). Students are advised to formalise their agreements with landlords by signing a written agreement on rent after having carefully read and understood it. The Erasmus Student Network provides assistance with these matters (see section on ERASMUS).
