Established in 1982, the Centre for Continuing Education aims at promoting education among the elderly people and preventing the ageing of its students and their families.

The Centre for Continuing Education carries out lectures in the humanities and biological and medical subjects. General knowledge from the lectures is complemented by the information provided during classes. The most active students may join self-studying associations.

Apart from educating senior students the Centre also helps those in need. Students frequenting the Centre visit the needy at their homes and in hospitals, read books to the disabled, offer their assistance with public health service and social welfare institutions as well as support children's homes in Poland and Belarus.
