Scope
On behalf of the Academy of Marketing Special Interest Group for the Marketing of Higher Education, all scholars, academics, practitioners and consultants are invited to contribute to the third International Conference on Higher Education Marketing (ICHEM). The conference will be held at Uniwersytet Jagiellonski, Krakow, Poland. The aim of the conference is to strengthen research in higher education from any perspective, country or international aspect. The main theme of the 2008 conference is 'Marketising, Marketing and Higher Education'.
Best papers
As with previous years, best papers are published in a peer-reviewed journal. For ICHEM 2008, we are pleased to announce that best papers will be published in the International Journal of Public Sector Management.
Keynote speakers
Tom Hayes is a Professor in the Department of Marketing at Xavier University and Vice-president and Partner of Simpson-Scarborough, a full service marketing consulting agency for institutions of higher education. He was the founder of the American Marketing Association's Symposium on the Marketing of Higher Education and is editor of the Journal of Marketing for Higher Education. His books include Marketing Professional Services (with Philip Kotler), Marketing Colleges and Universities: A Service Perspective and 50 University Marketing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them (with Roy Adler) to be published toward the end of 2007.
Nick Foskett is Professor of Education and Dean of the Faculty of Law,
Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Southampton, UK and works as
a consultant to government and educational institutions internationally on
education markets and marketing. Recent significant publications include:

Managing Education: International Dimensions (with Jacky Lumby), Choosing
Futures: Young People's Decision-Making in Education, Training and Careers
