Prof. Stanisław Kistryn visits the University of Helsinki

On 25–26 March 2015, Prof. Stanisław Kistryn, JU Vice-Rector for Research and Structural Funds, visited the University of Helsinki in Finland on the occasion of the celebrations to mark its 375 anniversary.

Prof. Stanisław Kistryn has also participated in a discussion concerning future paths of development of research and higher education.

The University of Helsinki is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Finland. It was founded in 1640 as the Royal Academy of Turku. Currently, it is one of the most esteemed universities in the country and a world-renowned research centre. The long and fruitful cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and the University of Helsinki began in 1964, when Prof. Erkki Kivinen, then-rector of the Finnish university, came to visit Kraków.
