October 20, 2014 saw the signing of a letter of intent between the Jagiellonian University and the IBM Software Lab. The agreement envisages mutual exchange of knowledge and experience in order to make the alumni of the JU Institute of English Studies better prepared to work in the high-tech sector.

According to the letter, special technical writing classes will be taught at the JU Institute of English Studies in the academic year 2014/2015. Besides, the students of English Studies will gain access to a number of internships and courses.

The collaboration between the JU Institute of English Studies and IBM Poland was initiated by Dr Maria Jodłowiec and is coordinated by Dr Michał Choiński.
