Third edition of the Jagiellonian Diplomatic Encounters is underway

We are glad to inform that yet another edition of the Jagiellonian Diplomatic Encounters project, realised by the Faculty of International and Political Studies, is already underway. During the Encounters, the JU students and employees as well as anyone who is interested in international relations have the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by both Polish and foreign diplomats. The initiative further strengthens the University's image as an institution which is not only open for international academic cooperation, but also one that is putting the idea of intercultural dialogue into practice.

Prof. Wojciech Nowak, JU Rector, is the honorary patron of the series.

This academic year, two such meetings have already taken place. On 14 October, the University was visited by Ji-in Hong, the Ambassador of South Korea to Poland, who delivered a lecture entitled The Situation in Northeast Asia and Korea's Foreign Policy. The next meeting was organised on 5 November, on the occasion of the visit of Xu Jian, the Ambassador of China to Poland. This time, the lecture was devoted to Chinese diplomacy and the relationship between China and Poland.

The closest meeting is scheduled for 3 December, when the University will be visited by the Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland.
