Young Inventor University and Academic Creativity Centre to be established at the Jagiellonian University

The committee of the Young Inventor University programme has revealed 40 winning projects that will receive funding for their research (with a maximum of 50,000 PLN). Two of them belong to the Jagiellonian University: Metabolizm komórki a czynniki toksyczne [Cell metabolism vs. toxic factors] (Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology) and Pozytywne miejsca pamięci europejskich [Positive places in European memory] ( Faculty of International and Political Studies). The research will be conducted jointly with schools.

Meanwhile, in another programme, 9 Academic Creativity Centres were selected, which will be created at 8 higher education institutions in Poland. The Jagiellonian University will feature 2 such Centres: at the Faculty of Polish Studies and the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science. They will receive up to 250,000 PLN each. The ACCs are aimed to provide the highest standards of education for teachers.

Both projects are funded by the Innovative Economy Programme.
