The Ambassador of France to Poland, HE Pierre Buhler paid a visit to the Jagiellonian University Collegium Novum, where he was received by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Andrzej Mania and the Dean of the JU Faculty of International and Political Studies, Prof. Bogdan Szlachta. The French delegation also included Cultural Counselor, Mr Stanislas Pierret, Consul General of France to Kraków, Mr Thierry Guichoux and the Attaché for Science and Higher Educaiton Cooperation, Dr Sébastien Reymond. The Deputy Head of the Jagiellonian University Institute of Romance Studies, Dr hab. Barbara Marczuk-Szwed also participated in the meeting.

The meeting focused on the existing and planned cooperation between the Jagiellonian University and French institutions higher education and research, with special emphasis on the projects carried out at the JU Faculty of International and Political Studies, the Faculty of Law and Administration, and the Institute of Romance Studies at the Faculty of Philology.

After the meeting, the Ambassador delivered a lecture within the framework of the 3rd edition of the Jagiellonian Diplomatic Encounters, organised by the JU Faculty of International and Political Studies.
