On 6 October 2014 the Jagiellonian University hosted a visit by a delegation of the Assembly of the Republic - the Portuguese parliament.

A lecture on the dynamics of Portugal-Poland relations was delivered by the Portuguese parliament member, José Mendes Bota.

The meeting was hosted by the JU Rector's Proxy for International Relations, Prof. Zdzisław Mach. The opening address was delivered by the Ambassador of Poland to Portugal, Prof. Bronisław Misztal.

The Portuguese delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Portugal to Poland, Maria Amélia Paiva.
